Radio Eastward is a charity run by volunteers. Hospital broadcasting is the largest charity group in the United Kingdom without a paid employee. We are always looking for more volunteers. The more volunteers we have, the more we can do and the better we can do it – which is great news for our listeners !!!

So what do we look for in a volunteer?

reliability - common sense – friendliness - commitment - a desire to bring a little happiness and a smile to the elderly and sick in our community.

We are looking for new presenters but there are loads of other ways you can help without having to go on air -:

Visiting our listeners in the many hospitals, residential and care homes and day-care centres we broadcast to.

Fundraising activities

Administration

Technical support for all of our equipment – in the studios and out in the field.

Looking after our presenters while they are on air – they are the best so we treat them well !!

As you see – we really do need you.

It's an opportunity to make new friends and have fun while taking part in a rewarding and worthwhile project.
